The Men’s Track and Field Team defeated Clarkson, 79 – 49, on Wednesday, to complete their dual meet season without a loss. Because of our tie with Adams, we share the dual meet League Championship. This is the 8th season in a row that the Men’s Track and Field Team has been undefeated in dual meets.
Against Clarkston, there were several outstanding performances.
The 800m Relay, Blaze Lauer, Joey Thede, Amaru Abdul-Raheem, and Matt Freeman ran a season best, (1:32.17). Matt Freeman also led a sweep in the 100m Dash, along with Sanai Pillot, and Devin Altman.
Devon Altman, Sinai Pillot, Amaru Abdul-Raheem, and Matt Freeman also teamed up in the 400m Relay for 1st place.
Amaru Abdul-Raheem led a sweep in the Long Jump, along with Austin Rolle, and Freshman Joey Owczarek.
Andrew Nolan ran a personal best or 4:25.7 to win the 1600m Run, and then teamed up with Matt Moreman, Nicholas Laurent, and Ryan Mulcahy to win the 1600m Relay with a season best time of 3:30.4.
Thomas Moreman was a double winner in the 110m High Hurdles and the 300m Hurdles.
Sebastian Marku and Jesus Cruz set personal records in their 1, 2 finish in the Discus, by throwing 144′ 11″ and 128′ 04″, respectively.
And Zach Dinverno jumped 6′ 03″ for a season best in the High Jump.
