Girls Track Team Wins Freshman Oakland County Meet

After some great performances at Friday’s Oakland County Meet, the girls track team turned right around, gathered up its freshmen and headed to Milford High School for the Freshman Oakland County Meet. With previous Freshman County titles in 2014, 2016 and 2017, this year’s team had the goal of trying to achieve four titles in six years. The Lady Dragons ran away with the meet with 69 points. Rochester finished in second place with 37 points with Milford and Royal Oak finishing in a tie for third place with 33 points.

Freshmen County medalists included:

  • Alayna Tisch finishing in 2nd place in the 100m dash and in 3rd place in the 200m dash
  • Bella Monterosso finishing in 2nd place in the long jump
  • Anna Pheasant finishing in 3rd place in the long jump and 4th place in the pole vault
  • Liz Hoffman finishing in 3rd place in the shot put
  • Ava Keogh finishing in 2nd place in the 800m run
  • Natalie Keogh finishing in 4th place in the 200m dash
  • The 4x200m relay consisting of Jilian Arquette, Alayna Tisch, Bella Monterosso and Natalie Keogh finishing in 1st place
  • The 4x100m relay consisting of Jilian Arquette, Alayna Tisch, Bella Monterosso and Natalie Keogh finishing in 1st place
